ADVANTAGES OF FILTERING IN A SECONDARY CIRCUIT

Lower costs for purchase and disposal

Costs are drastically reduced thanks to the increased service life of oil and to the reduced amounts of waste oil to dispose of.

More productivity and reliability of your system

A considerable reduction of downtime due to the accumulation of con- taminating particles in oil, and as a consequence increased production and reliability.

More protection for hydraulic components

Constant removal of condensate and the reduction of solid particles in oil offer a longer service life to valves, pumps, filters and other hydrau- lic machine components.

Better quality of oil

Filtering takes place at a very low pressure (pressure ranging from 0 to 2.2 Bar) and without oscillation.

A continuous filtering action

Each TEC95 fine filtering system feature its own low-consumption pump and is independent with the respect to the machine on which it is installed. Oil in the tank is continuously filtered, even when the press is not working.

Less wear of filters in the main circuit

The high impure particle-capturing capacity of TEC95 filter cartridges reduces wear of filters installed in the main circuit, making their ser- vice life longer.

DEPTH FILTER CARTRIDGES

The effectiveness of a filtering cycles depends on the time for which the fluid remains in contact with the filtering material. The structure of a filter cartridge can be compared to a filtering bed with a considerable volume and depth, composed of a three-dimensional labyrinth of extremely fine channels con- nected together. 75% of the volume of a cartridge is empty to allow for a high impure-particle capturing capacity.

The Principle

Oil flows through the cartridge in a radial manner, from the outside to the in- side. Even the smallest contaminating particles deposits within the cartridge thanks to the long route covered by fluid as it travels through the filtering ma- terial. The degree of filtration is guaranteed to be ≤ 3 μm.

Additives

TEC95 cartridges are made of natural fibre that does not interact chemically with oil and that does not hold back the additives.

Cartridges with a great volume and depth to offer effective filtering

The TEC95 filter cartridges fitted in our fine filtering systems have an absorp- tion with a degree of filtration of ≤ 3 μm. Research conducted by independent scientific institutes (e.g. RWTH Aachen and TÜV Essen) have demonstrated that TEC 95 filter cartridges guarantee oil with an exceptional level of purity, therefore fulfilling the provisions of the ISO 4406 (up to code 10/3) and NAS 1638 (up to Class 1) standards. TEC95 cartridges are made of natural fibre that offers enormous advantages if compared to other filtering materials.

Water in oil

A particularly interesting advantage is the capacity of the filtering material to hold back water in a permanent manner. The material has extremely high ab- sorption properties. It holds back ultra-fine contaminating particles and also extracts water (generally condensate) from oil, which prevents damage.

Disposal

TEC95 filter cartridges can be disposed of completely in accordance to the 150202 CER 2002 disposal code. Since they are made entirely of natural sub- stances, nosortingandseparatingisneeded. Cartridgesalsocomplywiththe ISO 14001 standard relating to “ecological management systems”.

FILTRATION ABILITY

All filter elements have a filtration degree of 3 micron absolute, i.e. 98.7% of all 3 micron solid particles is retained in one pass. The wa- ter absorption capacity of the cellulose based inserts is up to 50% of the total contaminant holding capacity. The depth of the off-line fil- ter inserts creates a highly efficient oxidation absorption.
